Brazil to enable recurring payment feature for Pix

BCB’s payment system will launch new function on June 16 after delay

The Central Bank of Brazil (BCB) will in the coming weeks enable a new function for Pix, its widely successful payment platform.

The Automatic Pix feature will enable users of the BCB-managed system to make recurring payments. It was initially scheduled to go live in October 2024 but was delayed to a new launch date of June 16.

A BCB spokesperson confirmed with Central Banking yesterday (June 5) that the feature would become available on June 16 as planned.
