Zambia is progressively adopting greater financial technology and should continue to do so to achieve its ambitious financial inclusion targets, said the deputy governor of the Bank of Zambia.

Bwalya N’gandu spoke on April 29 at the launch of the integration of Visa and MasterCard with ZamPay, the state-owned mobile payments app. While praising Zambian innovation in the financial sector, he encouraged developers to further push digitalisation to become “champions” of digital payment systems.
