Chile’s central bank says recovery is strengthening
GDP grows 5.3% year-on-year as central bank holds policy rates for 15 months
The Chilean economy consolidated its recovery in the second quarter of the year, says data published by the Central Bank of Chile on August 20.
Annualised GDP growth between April and June 2018 recorded at 5.3%, up from 4.3% in the previous quarter. All the economic sectors contributed to the expansion, with an especially strong contribution from manufacturing, says the central bank.
