Experts expect the US Federal Reserve to continue holding rates tomorrow (June 18), despite president Donald Trump’s continued pressure on the central bank and his personal attacks on its chair, Jerome Powell.

Speaking exclusively to Central Banking, a range of economists say they hope – and expect – that the Federal Open Markets Committee (FOMC) will maintain its current wait-and-see approach against a backdrop of continued uncertainty in the US economy.
