
Rwanda holds rates at 6.5%
Central bank expects inflation to remain within target

The National Bank of Rwanda said yesterday (February 13) that it was keeping its benchmark interest rate at 6.5% as it expected inflation to remain within target over the medium term.
Headline inflation grew to 5.2% in the final quarter of last year, up from 4.1% in Q3. However, the bank said it expected the figure to remain within its 2–8% target range.
