People: Steven Maijoor moves to DNB
Bank of Slovenia vice-governor nominated; ECB media relations chief stepping down; and more
The Netherlands: Steven Maijoor is to join the Netherlands Bank’s (DNB) governing board on April 1. He will be responsible for banking supervision.
Maijoor is currently chair of the board of supervisors at the European Securities and Markets Authority, a position he has held since 2011. Previously he was a professor of economics at Maastricht University and served as a director at the Dutch Authority for Financial Markets from 2004 to 2011.
He was recommended for the new role by DNB’s
