
People: New Kyrgyz governor; six promotions in Sri Lanka

Kyrgyzstan: Kubanychbek Kulmatov has been appointed chairman of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic (NBKR) after his predecessor stepped down early.
Kulmatov was chairman of the board of the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund before taking up the NBKR chairmanship, and was earlier the mayor of Bishkek.
He takes over from Tolkunbek Abdygulov, who handed in his resignation three years into his seven-year term. The central bank could not immediately be reached for further details.
