Netherlands Bank backs IFRS plans for global sustainability standards

The Netherlands Bank has backed plans by the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) Foundation to set global sustainability reporting standards,

In September, the IFRS Foundation issued a consultation paper, outlining a proposed framework for sustainability reporting. According to the Netherlands Bank, the IFRS is “ideally suited” for the role.
