New Zealand’s foreign minister has told the governor of the country’s central bank to “stay in her lane” after she signed a letter in support of US Federal Reserve chair Jerome Powell.

Reserve Bank of New Zealand (RBNZ) governor Anna Breman today (January 14) added her name to an open letter, initially posted on January 13, that has been signed by other central bank heads. The signatories said they stood in “full solidarity” with Powell, who is subject to a criminal investigation that experts
