Former governor arrested as Central Bank of Liberia probe widens
Milton Weeks and two current CBL officials are due to appear in court today
The probe into possible criminal misconduct by Central Bank of Liberia (CBL) officials has widened to include former governor Milton Weeks, with three individuals due to appear in court today (March 4).
Two individuals, deputy governor Charles Sirleaf and director of banking Dorbor Hagba were arrested on February 28, having allegedly mismanaged a banknote contract with US-based Crane.
Former governor Weeks was arrested on March 1 after handing himself in to the police, according to local media
