Better credit reporting infrastructure is required to spur financial integration between South-east Asian economies, Bank Negara Malaysia deputy governor Muhammad bin Ibrahim said today (May 14) at the Asean Risk Conference in Kuala Lumpur.

Credit reporting has "considerable potential" to support regional integration and further develop national financial systems, bin Ibrahim said, pointing to his own country as an example.
