Libyan governor sets out conditions for withdrawing resignation

Issa reportedly wants faster implementation of budget, trade reforms and halt to wage rises

A senior source at the Central Bank of Libya has said its governor has set out three main conditions for withdrawing his resignation, according to media reports.

In two documents seen by Reuters, dated August 9, Naji Issa said he could not continue as governor, but did not share the reasons why. Issa confirmed the authenticity of the documents, but declined to comment on his reasons for resigning.
