Italy’s trial

There is a lot of uncertainty about the prospects opened up by the Italian elections of March 4 and by the subsequent formation of the new government, agreed between MoVimento 5 Stelle (M5S) and Lega.

There are only two forecasts that I make with some degree of confidence:

Italy will have to go through a real trial, possibly with serious financial and economic turbulence. At the end, Italy will not leave the euro.

The length of the trial and the damage it could bring depend on how long
