Tajikistan keeps inflation on target after lowering band

Central bank reports 4.1% price growth in H1, 50bp higher than in first half of last year

Tajikistan’s inflation rate has remained within a lowered target band set by the country’s central bank last year, despite prices having increased slightly on an annual basis.

National Bank of Tajikistan governor Tolibzoda Firdavs Nazrimad said via a statement on July 20 that the country’s annual inflation rate in June had been 4.1% – a 50 basis point rise on the same period last year.
