FCA starts to move firms’ data to new platform

UK regulator says RegData platform is faster and more accessible than previous system

The UK’s Financial Conduct Authority has started to move firms over to its new data collection platform, RegData, which it announced would replace its Gabriel system last year.

In a statement published on November 25, the FCA said it was moving firms and their users across to RegData in groups to “minimise impact on firms”. 

The FCA began moving 120,000 users and the data of 52,000 firms across from the Gabriel system to RegData in October 2020. It has yet to say when it expects to have moved
