Argentina reaches IMF deal unlocking $1bn

Fund says government policies will help country access capital markets on more favourable terms

Argentina has reached a staff-level agreement with the International Monetary Fund on the second review of its $20 billion loan programme, unlocking a $1 billion disbursement subject to approval by the institution’s executive board.
