World Bank report says going green makes economic sense
Authors tie employment, resources and productivity to environmental health
Environmental protection is vital for the long-term health of economies, argues a report from the World Bank. The report, published on September 1, says environmental conditions have an impact on both human and physical capital. The authors – Richard Damania, Ebad Ebadi, Kentaro Mayr, Jason Russ and Esha Zaveri – say pollutants impede employees’ cognitive performance and productivity.
