Swiss National Bank announces new banknote designs
Central bank commissions Swiss firm Emphase to design new bills
The Swiss National Bank (SNB) has unveiled the design of its new banknote series.
In an announcement today (March 4), the SNB named Emphase’s submission as the winner of its design competition, which had run from October 30, 2024 through last year.
Antoine Martin, the bank’s vice-chairman, said the Swiss firm’s submission was the only one that came in the top three in both a public survey and an evaluation by an external board of advisers.
The design had been created by Emphase’s Fabienne Kilchör
