
De La Rue completes sale of authentication division
Banknote maker to focus exclusively on currency business

Banknote manufacturer De La Rue has completed the sale of its authentication division, it said yesterday (May 1).
It sold the business for £300 million to Crane NXT, a UK-based security systems services company, in a process that began last October.
Yesterday’s announcement came two weeks after De La Rue agreed to a £263 million takeover of its currency printing business by US-based group Atlas Holdings.
In a post on LinkedIn, De La Rue said that with the sale of the authentication business now
