Indonesia to launch new banknote and coin series with a ‘bang’
New banknote and coin series to feature Indonesian “national heroes”
Bank Indonesia has unveiled plans for a new series of banknotes and coins, honouring 12 "national heroes" of the state.
On September 15, the president of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, decreed national heroes should feature on the new series.
