Sarb mulling changes to cash distribution process

The South African Reserve Bank will "soon" start a consultation into its banknote and coin distribution processes after a review found "inefficiencies" in the current framework.

Sarb "will engage constructively and transparently with staff ... to determine the best possible way to address the inefficiencies, including with regard to any staff impact", the bank's head of communications, Jabulani Sikhakhane, said in a statement published August 5.
