Support for euro hits ‘record highs’ – ECB

Previously sceptical countries have grown to like shared currency, research suggests

European Central Bank researchers say support for the euro is at an “all-time high”.

In a piece for the bank’s upcoming economic bulletin on November 10, Ferdinand Dreher, Niklas Jütting and Hanni Schölermann cite a European Commission survey conducted earlier this year, in which 83% of respondents said they were in favour of the single currency.
