CCL Secure

The world’s polymer banknote experts - For more than three decades, CCL Secure has led the world in the design, manufacture and innovative development of polymer banknotes.

Along the way, we’ve been the partner of choice for every central bank or issuing authority that has transitioned to polymer. Today, our GUARDIANTM polymer substrate is used in 75 billion banknotes, issued for over 170 denominations worldwide.

Security first - Wherever our GUARDIAN polymer banknotes are introduced, counterfeiting rates are significantly reduced. GUARDIAN banknotes are highly secure with a broad range of security features available that can be easily integrated into the design.

Constant innovation - We’re constantly pushing the boundaries of what can be done. From the 3D moving images of our CINEMATM security feature to our latest, exceptionally durable SPARTANTM polymer substrate, designed specifically for low denomination, high transaction velocity banknotes.

Global success, local support - With 5 production lines on 3 continents, our supply chain is robust and designed to ensure consistent, reliable supply. Our global presence also makes it easier for our regional people to provide local support wherever it’s needed.

Dedicated solely to bank grade polymer - By working with our sister company Innovia Films (part of CCL Industries) we develop bank grade polymers that are used exclusively for banknotes – nothing else.

Stronger, safer, cleaner, greener - As well as being more durable, tougher to counterfeit, and more hygienic to handle, our polymer banknotes are greener. Independent lifecycle assessments carried out by central banks show that polymer outperforms paper on environmental measures.
