People: San Fran Fed picks new COO; Malaysia appoints Sharia Advisory Council
San Francisco Fed: Mark Gould has been appointed first vice-president and chief operating officer (COO) of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco. He replaces John Moore, who is to retire after 33 years in the Federal Reserve System and nearly 18 years as first vice-president of the San Francisco Fed.
Gould has spent 22 years with the Fed, most recently as manager of the Seattle branch and product manager of the Cash Product Office (CPO). In his new role, Gould will direct the CPO, which
