Bangladesh Bank chief highlights efforts to encourage entrepreneurs


Atiur Rahman, the governor of the Bangladesh Bank, spoke on July 16 about the central bank's efforts to extend credit to entrepreneurs as part of wider efforts to reduce poverty.

Delivering a speech at the International Growth Centre South Asia Growth Conference in Dhaka, Rahman said the central bank was playing a "catalytic role" in encouraging credit flows to small businesses.
