Menon encourages Chinese companies to explore offshore

Managing director of MAS considers connectivity between China and South-east Asia

As Chinese companies gain a larger global presence, they will need to "think harder" about how to raise capital and make good use of it, the managing director of the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) said today (June 7).

Ravi Menon told an audience at a Renminbi Internationalisation Summit that capital management is one of four "concrete areas of partnership" between China and South-east Asia.
