Bank of Mauritius governor urges diversification

Rundheersing Bheenick, governor of the Bank of Mauritius, said on May 14 that the country needs to diversify its economy to find its path through the continuing global economic turmoil.

Speaking in the latest edition of MCCI, the Magazine of the Mauritius Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the governor said Mauritius had so far demonstrated a "fairly good" degree of resilience. But with the country's euro-centric economy, he said it was bound to be affected by the "fall out of the euro crisis"
