Norges Bank notes importance of research for fund management
In his introductory remarks at the Norges Bank Investment Management Financial Research Conference in Oslo, governor Øystein Olsen stressed the importance of solid research practices in managing the government pension fund.
The objective of the event was to "present and discuss a set of papers at the forefront of academic research on financial economics," Olsen said on Tuesday. The conference was also intended to be "part of Norges Bank's efforts to strengthen ties with the academic community,"
