Assistance needed to retrain unemployed: NY Fed’s Dudley
William Dudley, the president of the New York Federal Reserve, on Thursday said job search assistance and training opportunities were needed to reduce unemployment in the US.
At the New Jersey Performing Arts Center, Newark, New Jersey, Dudley said: "The jobs recovery has been weak, there has been little progress in reducing unemployment. The unemployment rate among New Jersey residents currently stands at 9.5%, the same rate as a year ago, and slightly above the national rate."
