ECB’s Tumpel-Gugerell calls for structural reforms

Structural policy measures are central to sustainable productivity growth, said Gertrude Tumpel-Gugerell, a member of the European Central Bank's executive board.

Tumpel-Gugerell said market reforms were needed to increase competition and, in doing so, the demand for labour. She also said investment in education and research were crucial.
