RBA’s Stevens welcomes “distinctly better” outlook

In testimony before the Australian House of Representatives' Standing Committee on Economics, Glenn Stevens, the governor of the Reserve Bank of Australia, notes: "Things abroad hardly look rosy, but they look distinctly better than they did a few months ago."

"The Australian economy has been resilient, with economic activity looking stronger than expected a few months ago," Stevens noted, adding: "Both foreign and local factors have been at work."
