Trichet on structural reforms

Jean-Claude Trichet, the president of the European Central Bank, stressed the importance of labour markets reforms in the European Union.

Reforms, Trichet said in a speech at the Forum ABC in Madrid on 15 February, are especially important as the union's growth performance is - and will continue to be - constrained by ageing population and low population growth.
