Japan's Nakamura unsure on housing recovery

The timing and degree of a recovery in the Japanese housing industry remain uncertain, said Seiji Nakamura, a member of the Bank of Japan's rate-setting board.

The introduction of a more stringent Building Standard Law has hurt the industry since the summer and though the effects of this are likely to wear off, prompting a recovery, Nakamura is unsure when this is likely to occur.
