Kohn on the evolving role of the Fed banks

In the speech 'The evolving role of the Federal Reserve banks' given on 3 November Donald Kohn of the Federal Reserve said the current system of 12 decentralized Fed banks will continue to be needed despite changes in the banking system, but their role will increasingly shift to economic information gathering.
