Research draws on lessons from Polish prudential policy

Despite prudential regulation reducing foreign exchange mortgage lending and improving risk management at banks, "risks stemming from the housing loan portfolio" remain on the radar of the Polish authorities, given the prevalence of high loan-to-value (LTV) ratios and rollover risk of hedging transactions, according to a working paper published by the National Bank of Poland.
