Norges Bank paper seeks to solve ‘exchange rate puzzles’


A working paper published by the Norges Bank has examined numerous contributions to the 'market microstructure' approach to foreign exchange research, a relatively new approach built on empirical foundations that overturned many previous assumptions.

In The market microstructure approach to foreign exchange: Looking back and looking forward, authors Michael King, Carol Osler and Dagfinn Rime study the findings of a range of papers based on the market microstructure approach.

The authors find
