Luck factors in post-conflict recoveries: IMF paper

An International Monetary Fund paper, published on Monday, says luck is an important factor in post-conflict recovery in sub-Saharan African countries.

The paper's authors, Antonio David, Fabiano Rodrigues Bastos and Marshall Mills, use panel data for 30 sub-Saharan African countries to identify the factors linked to cross-country differentials in growth performance in the aftermath of social conflict.
