Decoupling theory holds, says Bank of England
New research from the Bank of England finds evidence for the decoupling of international business cycles.
The analysis shows that there are increasing similarities in the growth rates of output within regions but increasing differences between regions. The research also shows that there is an increase in the degree of synchronisation of inflation rates across the world.
