Asian inflation to stay high
Inflation in Asian countries will remain high over the medium term due to rising oil prices and a persistent shortage of skilled labour, says new research from Deutsche Bank.
Agricultural prices will also stay high as demand in developing Asian economies that have large "catch-up" potential in food and meat consumption is expected to continue to rise. Nevertheless, local yield curves show that inflation expectations are relatively well anchored.
