Japanese productivity boosted by IT

Since the turn of the millennium, technological progress appears to have raised levels of Japanese productivity, new research published by the country's central bank finds.

The pick up in the production of IT and the amount of industries that use IT intensively has resulted in a rise in overall total factor productivity.
