A model for market expectations about inflation

The Bank of Spain has devised a new model for market expectations about the inflation rate.

The new model introduces the inflation rate, which contains useful information for forecasting of the interest rate, as an additional factor. The research also notes that the new methodology is based on a liquid market and that can isolate inflation expectations from the risk-premia component.
