Hong Kong benefits from mainland growth

Hong Kong's status as an international financial centre will be enhanced by the rise of mainland China, according to research published by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority.

The research constructs alternative measures to better capture the ability of an international financial centre to attract capital flows and demand for financial services as, the paper argues, traditional measures of financial market activities do not do so.
