Sarb - Annual Economic Report (2011)


The South African Reserve Bank's (Sarb) Annual Economic Report, published on Friday, says growth in South Africa was driven by pick-up in external and domestic demand.

The report, which reviews the broader economic context within which the Sarb conducted its operations in 2010 and 2011, said emerging market and developing economies, led by Asia, provided the strongest growth momentum over the year, while the advanced economies registered a more subdued performance.
