Central Bank of Oman - Annual Report (2010)


Despite strong medium-term fundamentals of the Omani economy, the recent political uprising in the Middle East has had significant "economic implications" for the Gulf country, the Central Bank of Oman Annual Report, published in June, said.

The Annual Report said the recent uprising in Oman since the first quarter of 2011, was a "spillover" of a bigger turmoil in the Middle East and North Africa. It said the creation of new jobs and provision of unemployment allowances for the Omani job seekers
