Euro money-market survey 2008

The European Central Bank has published the preliminary results of its latest money-market survey.

The results show that in the second quarter of 2008, aggregate turnover in the euro money-market fell by comparison with the second quarter of the previous year for the first time since 2004.

In the over-the-counter (OTC) derivatives market, turnover in overnight index swaps (OIS) fell significantly between the second quarter of 2007 and the second quarter of 2008, while turnover in forward rate
