Lira's decline won't trigger inflation
The recent depreciation of the Turkish lira will be largely offset by the disinflationary impact of the fall in food and energy prices and weakening domestic demand, states the latest Inflation Report of the Central Bank of Turkey.
The report says that the recent depreciation of the currency will create upward pressure on inflation, especially in the short term, but that domestic demand conditions have been weaker than expected. The central bank further revised down its assumptions for food and
