Bank of England Inflation Attitudes Survey, Feb 07

The Bank of England published its February 2007 Inflation Attitudes Survey on Thursday 15 March. UK inflation expectations for the coming year remained at an elevated 2.7 pct in February, the survey found.

This is unchanged from the last reading in November and equals the previous series high in February last year.

Of those polled, 20 pct thought that prices would rise by between 2 and 3 pct, while 16 pct forecast a rise of between 3 and 4 pct. A total of 14 pct thought prices would rise by 5 pct
