Bank of Haiti - Annual Report 2006

The Haitian economy expanded by 2.3% in 2006, the highest rate of growth since 1999.

The growth rate is especially impressive given the high rate of kidnappings in the Haitian capital Port-au-Prince. Foreign direct investment into the communications industry contributed to growth.
