ECB Monthly Bulletin, September 2005

The European Central Bank published its September 2005 Monthly Bulletin on Thursday 8 September. The ECB said it needs to exercise 'particular vigilance' on risks to eurozone inflation following the recent increase in oil prices.

'At present, particular vigilance with regard to upside risks to price stability is warranted,' the ECB said in the bulletin.

'Medium-term domestic inflationary pressures still remain contained in the euro area. However, the balance of risks to the baseline inflation
