Communications are Canada’s forte, latest set of awards show


The Bank of Canada was celebrated for its clear communication in Central Banking's awards this year, being awarded the Transparency accolade for 2017.

At the forefront of best practice, the central bank formed a new top-level communication role, expanding the department's capabilities to effectively communicate monetary policy.

Governor Stephen Poloz emphasised the difficulties many central banks face in the current environment when it came to communicating to the public. "In a post-crisis world
